Celebrity Meetings

I have blogged about my meetings with celebrities on two occasions in recent years. If you are interested in reading them here’s the links.

As you will see if you read them I had some brilliant experiences especially at the London Film Fair with Julie Dawn Cole, who was everything I could have wished for and more. So, who is left on my list? I could have a list of many celebrities but I have one celebrity that I would love to meet and the possibility of meeting her next March if all goes well. As a youngster I had three or four celebrities that I wanted to watch on TV. Two of these, Julie Dawn Cole and Katy Manning I have already met as I recount in the links above (which are both worth a read 😂😂) so who is the third? Well, it’s Isla St Clair who British TV viewers of my generation may remember as the co-host of Larry Grayson’s Generation Game. I thought she was amazing on the show demonstrating a range of skills and very pretty, as well as being a marvellous singer. She was also the first celebrity to send me a  signed photo after I wrote a fan letter to her. She is at an event organised by the Talking Pictures TV channel at St Albans in March and I am thinking very seriously of going along. I have actually been in touch with her via her website when I reviewed her marvellous Christmas album as part of my first Blogmas in 2023. She really enjoyed the review and said in reply that she was going to look to buy back the rights to the album. As it’s now on the website, and well worth listening to, I feel happy that I have played a small part in that process. Here’s the link to the album

And here’s the link to my review

Finally, here is Isla from the front cover of her album who I may finally meet next year.
